John-Michael achieved his CF-L1 last year and is planning to get more and more qualifications under his belt in order to be the best coach he can be. He is thrilled to be working under Calvin and Dave at Iron Gate CrossFit.
Mick was born with a passion for sport. At school, he was competitive in soccer, athletics, rugby, cricket, and swimming. He was awarded his Gauteng colours for soccer and represented the Johannesburg North area cricket team. His main love was swimming, where he represented South Africa.
Shortly after finishing school Mick found Crossfit. The rest is history. He says it was the greatest sport he could’ve chosen. His new found passion is helping others to become fitter and healthier, ultimately leading them to a happier lifestyle.
It is always an amazing feeling seeing the smile on a member’s face when they do something they have never done before, says Mick.
